Yes, I do work at the Thunder Bay Art Gallery, as a front desk attendant. It simultaneously the most fortunate and most frustrating job a student could have–excellent hours and a lenient boss, but minimum wage and, of course, customer service. Moreover, the gallery seems to be a nexus of extremely improbable events, which is the best and worst aspect of the job–at least I get stories out of it. The cast of characters who populate the gallery reminds me of that TV show The Office; I suspect they could produce a mock-umentary called The Gallery and it would sell.
I saw this card at work today, and it reminded me of this post. So I bought it and took a photo.
It’s by a local artist, Alison Kendall:

Ben, what a fantastic card! You work at the gallery in Thunder Bay, right?
And I’m laughing at your tweet about AOL keywords … had completely forgotten those days.
