Nourishes

This morning, I was asked a question:
What nourishes you, and do you have enough of it?
It is a perfect question, but a difficult one to answer, because it asks so much. Maybe you can help me, readers? What nourishes you – your belly, your head, your heart … perhaps all three? I am still mulling over it.

What nourishes me? Time spent with the people I love. The people I love fill my heart with happiness, fill my head with ideas, and (because a lot of that time spent with others is over food) fill my belly with deliciousness.
Do I get enough of it? Impossible to ever have enough. But I am happy, and feel truly blessed, for the time I do get to spend with the people I love most dearly, and cherish every minute.
so i’ve thought about this question off/on since you posted it.
so many things nourish ME:
books, the written word
photos, images captured by someone who took the time to say “yes, this moment is important and i need to grab it before it is gone”
friends, oh how balance me and allow me to be alone but never lonely
a good night’s sleep, one not marred with the annoying need to use the restroom or the startling sound of an intruding alarm that blares much too early
a proper sunrise, because greeting the morning is so much better than saying goodbye to a day
a meal shared with my cousins, because they are always always always spotted with laughter
rereading all this, is it somewhat surprising that they all would be under the label of Heart and Head, but not so much stomach.
